The Azerbaijani soprano from Baku has come a long way since she began her singing career at the tender age of six. She participated in many competitions; wherever she sang, she won first prize.

By the age of seventeen, she was introduced to musical comedy, which allowed her to take part in several musical productions—an experience that has proven invaluable in her career. She then entered the Baku Music Academy in Azerbaijan. During her first year, she was invited to sing at philharmonic concerts, including performances organized for embassies of different countries. Gulshan's first opera role was in "Aida," where she performed the title role after graduating from the conservatory. Her big break came when she auditioned for the lead role in "Aida." She also sang the main roles in performances like "Aleko," "Iolanta," "Leisir d'Amour," "La Bohème," and in other performances.

Gulshan is the first singer to play the main role in the first Azerbaijani rock opera "Sinbad the Explorer," which premiered on October 27, 2018. Her appeal to international composers led to many of them dedicating pop opera compositions specifically for her voice. Gulshan currently lives and works in London as an opera singer, vocal coach and language coach.

I have been teaching singing privately to students of all ages and levels for several years, as well as enjoying a busy performance career. I find that being a regular performer myself is very important when imparting knowledge and advice to my students because I want to teach you more than just the mechanics of singing - I want to teach you to be an artist and to express YOUR unique voice and personality.

I work on vocal technique, drama and language, and have worked with children, teenagers, and adults - both those hoping to sing professionally and enthusiastic amateurs! Good singing is about solid and healthy vocal technique, a good feeling for music, self-expression and confidence!
